Because many of our orchestra players, conductor and audience members drive a considerable distance to attend concerts and rehearsals, we have developed this cancellation policy and procedure so all can stay informed should we have to cancel an activity.

By 3:00 p.m. the day of an evening concert or rehearsal, the Conductor, Concertmaster and Orchestra Manager will determine if the scheduled activity needs to be canceled due to inclement weather conditions.  For afternoon dress rehearsals and matinee concerts that determination will be made by 10:00 a.m.

Once it is determined that an Orchestra Concert or Rehearsal needs to be canceled due to inclement weather, a cancellation message will be recorded on the HSO’s Office Cell Phone, 1-800-826-1997.  If weather conditions appear questionable, players and audience members should call this number to learn if the activity has been canceled.  A message will also be left with the Custodian at the respective school.   In the event that a public concert needs to be canceled, the HSO Business Manager will also notify area media to announce the cancellation.

The HSO very rarely cancels a concert performance, but should that be necessary for the safety of those involved, tickets can be used if there is a make-up performance or for another HSO concert during the season.  Refunds may also be arranged by mailing your ticket with the amount paid indicated on it to: HSO, PO Box 241, Little Falls, MN 56345

The Orchestra Manager can be reached as follows:

Daytime Work Phone: (320) 632-0362 (direct #)
(If not at desk, dial “0” and the receptionist will redirect call.)
Cell Phone, after 4:30 pm: (320) 630-6498
Home Phone, after 5:00 pm: (320) 632-2587
